North Ayrshire Shooting Ground was established in 1986 and is affiliated to the Scottish Clay Target Association. It offers people of all ages the opportunity to try the exciting sport of  Clay Target Shooting in a pleasant, friendly and safe environment. We are located in the heart of the Ayrshire countryside, yet only 30 minutes drive from Glasgow.

Expert tuition is offered by staff of the highest standard, and all the necessary equipment and safety gear is provided.

Layouts include 14 English sporting stands, DTL, ABT, Compact Sporting, Skeet ' FITASC Sporting and the first fully automatic trench layout in Scotland all controlled with CLAYMATES. Our trap layouts use Canterbury and Elfipa Acoustics.

Whether you are a novice or an old hand our experts will help improve your shooting.
  Tom Young: An internationalist who has shot for Scotland since 1984. He has been Scottish Captain and a representative at the World Championships.
  Jim Young: Has represented Scotland on numerous occasions
       

 

The various disciplines which the Ground offers, namely Skeet, Trap, and Sporting, can be enjoyed at any time as a result of the fully covered, all-weather facilities.

After your shoot you can relax with refreshments in the clubhouse and enjoy the spectacular views over Ayrshire.

It is advisable to book your shooting in advance. Catering, such as buffets or hot meals, can also be arranged before your visit.
